WINDOW TINT INSTALLATION FAQ

What preparation is needed before installing window tint?

The windows should be thoroughly cleaned and free from any dirt, dust, or debris. It’s important to ensure the surface is completely dry before application.

How long does it take to install window tint on a vehicle?

Installation time varies, but it typically takes about 2 to 4 hours to tint all the windows of a vehicle, depending on the size and complexity of the job.

Can window tint be installed on curved windows?

Yes, window tint can be installed on curved windows. Professional installers use heat shrinking techniques to conform the film to curved surfaces.

What tools are required for window tint installation?

Essential tools include a squeegee, spray bottle with soapy water, heat gun, utility knife, and a lint-free cloth.

Is professional installation necessary for window tint?

While DIY kits are available, professional installation ensures a better finish and longer-lasting results. Professionals have the skills to avoid bubbles and creases.

What if the window tint has creases or folds during installation?

If creases or folds appear during installation, use a heat gun to warm the tint film and a squeegee to smooth out the creases. Start from the center and work towards the edges. If the creases are severe, it may be necessary to remove the tint and reapply a new piece

What if the window tint starts peeling after installation?

If the tint starts peeling, it may be due to poor surface preparation or improper installation. Carefully peel back the affected area, clean the surface thoroughly, and reapply the tint. Ensure the edges are securely attached by using a squeegee to remove any trapped air and moisture.  Additionally, if present, any air bubbles should resolve themselves one week after installation as moisture evaporates from underneath the surface of the window tint.
